THE NEED TO EXPAND

Even though our school has been catering to the community for many years, accommodating all of our students has become extremely difficult for us.

Many classrooms are overcrowded. Some classrooms are makeshift classrooms – students and teachers must move desks around in the same place where they play or pray.

For that reason, Ottawa Islamic School has started working towards expanding its building to accommodate more students AND to provide more services and amenities for the Muslim community in general.

The expansion will include:

➡️ 9 additional classrooms
➡️ 1 cafeteria
➡️ 1 library
➡️ science labs & a maker space
➡️ 1 two-story gymnasium with 5 change rooms
➡️ 1 commercial kitchen
➡️ 1 Wudhu area
➡️ 1 computer lab
➡️ multipurpose, mechanical & recreation rooms

This would allow the school to provide all its programs in the building. A one-stop hub for our students. With your support, we know we can achieve outstanding academic results while developing a profound love of Islam and learning within our children in a healthy, fun, and spacious environment.

Currently, Ottawa Islamic School is a quarter of a way through its expansion project. But with the ongoing pandemic, raising funds and supporting this important project has become difficult.

Ottawa Islamic School sees the demand for Islamically grounded education at a high level. Many of our students go on to greater success in higher education.

With that, YOUR donations are needed like never before. Though we’ve been able to manage the difficulties of this pandemic, we ask that YOU support us.
